Who: You are an Earth Scientist. You wake up in the morning to provide solutions for a healthier earth. You may be starting your career or retired from a consulting job. Either way, you want to make a difference, you do make a difference and now you can in a larger way. Whether on land, under water or above ground in the air…
What: You’ll use this technology with your specialty or a new service to provide solutions in earth sciences whether finding sources of pollution, study climate change, peer into volcanoes, map a flood plain in real time or so many other uses. You will use a mixture or flight and underwater vehicles.
Where: On land, sea, or air with permission. You’ll use sensors made in Arduino or Raspberry Pi where you can collect data in remote areas. Not an Arduino programmer, no problem, we have programmers to assist you with the sensors you need.
When: In good weather outside, at winds less than 25 miles per hour, flying under 400 feet agl, you’ll fly with different sensors in different light conditions. In water you have many more choices whether mapping a lake or taking water quality samples or even taking video of underwater avalanches, finding shipwrecks, mapping the bottom of lakes, finding underwater gas leaks, and more.
Why: Because you can’t economically get to these areas, whether line of sight or beyond line of sight.
